U.S. Air Force Considerations

Corneal Refractive Surgery (CRS) is available to active duty members to reduce dependence on optical eyeware and enhance operational performance. There are currently five active Air Force Laser Refractive Centers, with another center due to open in the near future. Healthy Living

Have regular, comprehensive eye examinations. Many common eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease and age-related macular degeneration often have no warning signs. Be sure that dilation or another method of retinal exam is included.
